Dobbies Garden Centres across the United Kingdom are ringing in the holiday season with a special Christmas Shopping Night fundraiser on Thursday, November 30th, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This event, in support of their National Charity Partner, the Teenage Cancer Trust, promises an enchanting evening of seasonal shopping and festive fun for families nationwide.
Tickets for this heartwarming event are available both in-store and online, priced at just £1. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust, furthering their mission to provide crucial support to young cancer patients. In addition to ticket sales, there will be various fundraising activities taking place during the event to bolster this important cause.
During the Christmas Shopping Night, guests can explore Dobbies’ fresh and captivating Christmas themes for 2023, discover affordable and delightful decorations for their homes, and take advantage of exclusive deals. The festive ambiance will be heightened with seasonal music, and children will have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus in his enchanting Grotto.
Cancer remains a grave concern for teenagers and young adults in the UK, with more lives lost to this disease than any other. For those who survive, receiving the right physical and emotional support is essential for their recovery. Shockingly, every day, seven young individuals aged 13-24 receive the devastating news that they have cancer. By 2030, this number is projected to increase to around 10 young people per day. Supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust through donations contributes to the employment of specialist nurses and youth workers, who play a vital role in assisting young cancer patients on their journey to recovery.
Chloë Bell, Dobbies’ CSR and Community Communications Executive, has been working closely with the Teenage Cancer Trust to raise awareness of their remarkable efforts. She expressed, “Our late-night shopping event is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, embrace the festive spirit, and support a charity that is truly making a difference in the lives of teenagers and young adults across the UK. Last year, our fundraising efforts raised over £100,000 for the charity, and with the help of our customers, we aim to surpass this milestone.”

November has been declared “TCT Takeover” month at Dobbies, featuring a social media takeover on November 2nd, donation weekends in-store, and encouragement for donations in conjunction with event bookings and the Christmas Shopping Night.
Tickets for the Christmas Shopping Night are priced at just £1 per person, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Teenage Cancer Trust. Additionally, Santa’s Grotto experiences can be pre-booked at 52 stores.
