BBC Gardeners’ World Events Unveils an Exciting Lineup of 2024 Shows, Featuring a Headline Show Garden by Adam Frost

BBC Gardeners’ World Events is delighted to present its dynamic events calendar for 2024, with the exciting announcement that BBC Gardeners’ World presenter, Adam Frost, will be the creative mind behind the headline show garden at BBC Gardeners’ World Live. Aptly named ‘The Chef’s Table,’ Adam’s Show Garden promises a vibrant celebration of the journey from plot to plate. It will feature a rustic outdoor cooking and dining space nestled amidst an array of delectable edibles. Adam will host talks in his Show Garden and welcome chef friends from the sister event, BBC Good Food Show Summer, to share scrumptious summer recipe ideas.

BBC Gardeners’ World Events offers a diverse range of events, from the flagship BBC Gardeners’ World Live, the ultimate gardeners’ day out, to boutique seasonal fairs held in historic locations. These events promise feature-packed days filled with inspiration and achievable ideas for garden enthusiasts, along with expert advice, hands-on experiences, an abundance of plants and garden shopping, complemented by delicious food, drinks, and lively live entertainment.

The gardening year commences with the BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair (3 – 5 May) at Beaulieu in the New Forest, the home of the National Motor Museum. This event promises a riot of spring color and fresh inspiration for the upcoming season. Highlights include a woodland-themed show garden by headline partner Hillier, one-to-one advice desks, a vast plant shop, Showcase Gardens, Beautiful Borders designed by local talent, and College Competition gardens.

At the BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine Stage, gardening enthusiasts can expect talks and advice from experts such as Frances Tophill, Adam Frost, Rachel de Thame, Sue Kent, and others. The event offers hands-on workshops and Plant Expert Tours of Beaulieu’s kitchen, ornamental gardens, and a dedicated stage for growing your own produce. A bustling shopping experience awaits, with a wide array of specialist nurseries, growers, and garden retailers. Attendees can also indulge in artisan produce and tantalizing street food at the BBC Good Food Market. Spring Fair tickets include access to Beaulieu’s grounds, gardens, and attractions.

Returning to the NEC Birmingham from 13 – 16 June, BBC Gardeners’ World Live will amaze visitors with its avenue of impressive show gardens by award-winning designers, including Adam Frost’s ‘chef’s table’ inspired Show Garden. The Association of Professional Landscapers presents a variety of inspirational designs in their avenue of gardens, while the beloved Beautiful Borders provide creative inspiration for small spaces and challenging locations. The show’s spectacular Floral Marquee is a sensory delight, offering colorful displays and tens of thousands of plants for sale, along with expert advice from Plant Experts and informative talks at the Let’s Talk Plants Stage.

The BBC Gardeners’ World Live Theatre will feature renowned experts like Monty Don, Adam Frost, Carol Klein, Frances Tophill, and Joe Swift, who will engage in discussions with Nicki Chapman and the BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine editors. Other highlights include a new Urban Garden area, The Plant Village, numerous garden retailers and exhibitors, the Houseplant Market and stage, the Schools’ Wheelbarrow Competition, guided Garden Walks, Plant Expert Tours, hands-on demonstrations, delicious food and drinks, live entertainment, and more.

Tickets for BBC Gardeners’ World Live include entry to the BBC Good Food Show Summer, which celebrates seasonal summer food with talks, top chefs, expert insights, tastings, and a variety of food and drinks to savor and purchase.

As autumn approaches, the BBC Gardeners’ World Autumn Fair, in association with English Heritage, takes place at Audley End House and Gardens, Essex, from 30 August to 1 September. Highlights include inspiring Showcase Gardens, Beautiful Borders by local designers, and the Association of Professional Landscapers’ Skills Competition. Presenters Adam Frost, Joe Swift, and new addition Rachel de Thame will share seasonal gardening tips at the BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine Stage. Visitors can enjoy drop-in talks set in the beautiful Parterre Gardens and at the Let’s Grow Stage, as well as book Plant Expert Tours of Audley End’s organic Kitchen Gardens and hands-on workshops.

A wide range of growers, nurseries, and retailers will offer seasonal plants, gardening equipment, accessories, furniture, and more. The BBC Good Food Market will entice with a tempting selection of food and drink stalls and street food options, accompanied by live bandstand music for added enjoyment. Autumn Fair tickets include full access to Audley End House, grounds, and gardens.
