Mountfield Donates mower to British Heart Foundation

In celebration of Heart Month, Mountfield Donates mower to British Heart Foundation . The Mountfield Electress 34LI will take center stage at the auction hosted by Cape Cornwall Golf Club, with all proceeds going to the BHF.

Mountfield, fervent advocates of healthy living, understand the significance of reaping both mental and physical benefits from gardening. The act of mowing, beyond maintaining a lush lawn, contributes to cardiovascular exercise, promoting heart well-being. Spending time outdoors surrounded by nature can alleviate stress and enhance mental well-being. Gardening, a blend of physical exertion and accomplishment, offers holistic well-being.

Andy Cleary of Cape Cornwall Golf Club expressed their delight, saying, “Cape Cornwall Golf Club is thrilled to support the BHF during Heart Month 2024. As one of the most prolific grass mowers in the area, we appreciate Mountfield’s generous donation. A round of golf involves approximately 15,000 steps, and we hope this mower contributes to the health benefits of our members.”

Funds raised from the auction will contribute to the BHF’s groundbreaking research aimed at discovering new treatments and cures for heart and circulatory diseases, affecting 7.6 million people in the UK.

Mark Hawkins, BHF Fundraising Manager, conveyed gratitude, stating, “With around twice as many people in the UK living with heart and circulatory diseases than with Alzheimer’s and cancer combined, we urgently need to fund more lifesaving research to fight heart conditions like cardiac arrest that devastate so many people and their loved ones. We are very grateful for this support during Heart Month as it will help to fund the breakthroughs of tomorrow and keep families together for longer.”
