Join the owner of award-winning garden – St Timothee – for some winter walks and talks
Whether you want to wrap up warm and venture out, or stay cosy at home, the National Garden Scheme is offering two wonderful opportunities to start the new year with a blast of fresh air and inspiring insight into winter planting with Sarah Pajwani, owner of the recently named ‘Nation’s Favourite Garden’* St Timothee in Berkshire.
It’s not so long ago that the view from Sarah and Sal Pajwani’s 1930s house took in dilapidated outbuildings and a lawn dotted with clumps of pampas grass. Luckily, there were also lots of scope to create a garden that was closer to Sarah’s vision. With the house sitting in the centre of the plot, with views of the garden from all the windows, Sarah was eager to make the planting look good from every view, all year round.
Planted and maintained by Sarah with the aim of looking good in every season and using tough, resilient plants that are relatively easy to source and manage, there are two wonderful winter opportunities to find out more about the fabulous planting at St Timothee’s.
