SealStop: the clever hose gadget helping households save water

Date:

Helping you seal the gap between water usage and water wastage

As the UK faces increasing periods of drought and tighter water restrictions, one small British innovation is making a big impact: SealStop – a smart, hands-free hose connector that stops water flow automatically when your container is full.

Invented by smallholder and ex-radiographer Isabelle Richardson, SealStop was born out of a simple frustration – forgotten hoses and flooded yards. Now, it’s helping households, gardeners, and smallholders across the UK make every drop count.

SealStop connects to a standard hosepipe using a quick-connect fitting. Just pop the hose into a trough, barrel or container, and walk away. SealStop shuts off the flow at the right moment, preventing overflows and wasted water. There’s no need for timers, electronics or constant supervision, just simple, reusable, British-made engineering.

“I just got tired of wasting water because life got in the way,” says Isabelle. “SealStop gives people time back and helps them be smarter with water use, especially useful during dry spells and when water conservation becomes more important.”

Originally launched in the equestrian market, SealStop is now finding fans in gardens across the UK and is proudly manufactured just 45 minutes York. It’s also part of a growing range, with rainwater harvesting tools currently in development.

SealStop is ideal for drought-conscious households, gardeners, and anyone collecting rainwater.
