GROOMBRIDGE PLACE REOPENS FOR THE EASTER HOLIDAYS

Visitors to Groombridge Place near Tunbridge Wells this Easter can have a fabulous time discovering the beautiful Enchanted Forest and taking part in a special Easter Event between 31 March and 18 April 2022. 

Children should look out for the two giant Easter bunnies as they will help them solve the hidden clues which will lead to a sweet treat to take home.

Josh Neville will also be back with his amazing Punch and Judy Shows with performances at 11am and 2pm on 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17 April 2022.

Don’t miss the incredible birds of prey displays which take place daily. Visitors can watch and learn about some amazing birds including owls, flacons and eagles. Performances daily at 12 noon and 3.30pm.

Groombridge Place is a remarkable and beautiful country estate resting on the border between East Sussex and Kent, on the edge of the historic village of Groombridge.

Visitors can enjoy a walk through the estate including along the canal path where everyone can discover children’s play areas at Crusoe’s World including a fantastic pirate ship. Further into the enchanted forest visitors will find a new large wooden fort and the popular raised board walk or why not play hide and seek in and out of the tepees. The woodlands will also be full of bluebells from mid-April to Mid-May.

A canal boat will also offer short trips to Crusoe’s World for a small additional fare of £1.50 for adults and £1 for children.

The 17th century moated manor house is not open to the public. The gardens are open but are currently being renovated. Peacocks can be seen roaming the estate.

The café will be open with outdoor and covered seating and offers hot and cold drinks and tasty meals and treats throughout the day. A BBQ will operate in school holidays and some weekends.

Free parking close to the attraction.

Groombridge Station is close by so you can start your day with a steam train ride on the Spa Valley Railway on days when they are operating between Tunbridge Wells West and Eridge. The walk from the Groombridge station to Groombridge Place is around 15 minutes.

Directions to Groombridge Place:

Groombridge Place is located in the village of Groombridge, 4 miles south west of Tunbridge Wells on the B2110, which is just off the A264 Tunbridge Wells/ East Grinstead road – on the Kent and East Sussex county border.

By Road: From the M25: Exit at Junction 5 and head south on the A21. After 10 miles, exit at A26 signed Tunbridge Wells: then take A264 to East Grinstead and follow the signs to Groombridge village and Groombridge Place.

By Rail: London Charing Cross to Tunbridge Wells, then bus or taxi to Groombridge.
