Deere & Company (NYSE: DE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Deanna Kovar as the new President of the Worldwide Agriculture and Turf Division, responsible for Small Ag and Turf markets in Regions 1 and 2, encompassing Asia, Africa, and Europe. Ms. Kovar succeeds Mark von Pentz, who is retiring from the company.
In her new role, Ms. Kovar will assume leadership of the company’s Small Ag and Turf business, as well as oversee John Deere’s operations in these international markets. Ms. Kovar brings a wealth of experience to this position, having previously served as Vice President of Production and Precision Ag since 2020. In that role, she led a global team dedicated to providing equipment and technological solutions that enhance the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of agricultural operators.
Ms. Kovar has been an integral part of the Deere team since 2000 and has spent most of her career in various roles in channel and product management. This extensive experience has granted her a profound understanding of the unique needs and preferences of agricultural customers. Her expertise in precision technologies began in 2010 when she joined the Intelligent Solutions Group as Manager of Portfolio Management. Subsequent positions included Division Sales Manager, Director of Production & Precision Ag Marketing, and Director of Global Operator Stations.
