Gardens are all different shapes and sizes and some can only be accessed through the house itself. Forest Garden, the UK’s largest manufacturer and distributor of timber garden products, has redesigned its Overlap shed range to help combat space and accessibility issues.

The Worcestershire-based company has revolutionised production of its sheds, moving to a new flexible, modular design which also gives customers a wide choice of build options to suit their own gardens. These include flexibility with panels that are the same size, meaning the customer can choose where to position the windows and which side to hang the door. The smaller timber sections are not only easier to handle, they also add additional strength to the building and make assembly quicker and easier.

There are over 45 sheds to choose from, including eight totally new designs for 2020. They all offer plenty of head room and the doors are reinforced with double Z framing to prevent door drop and improve security. Anti-tamper hidden hinges and metal hasp and staple latches, that can be secured with the addition of a padlock, all provide added peace of mind. Solid timber floors are standard on all Overlap models. Lean-to extension kits are available for the 6×4, 7×5 and 8×6 Apex shed models.

All the sheds are manufactured in the UK from UK grown, FSC certified timber and all the shed panels are produced at Forest Garden’s factory in rural Worcestershire – so it’s a truly British package. Even the timber is processed at the company’s sawmills in Scotland – very close to where the timber is felled, to improve the sheds’ carbon footprint.

“The new range opens up a variety of build options and completely modernises shed manufacture and assembly,” said Forest Garden’s ceo Guy Grainger. “The new modular shed panels are lightweight and easy to handle, making it easier to build, and if the garden is difficult to access, everything can just be carried through the house.”

Prices start from £199.99 for a dip-treated 4×3 foot Apex shed with no windows to £1119.99 for a 10×20 foot pressure treated Apex shed with double doors. More information including installation guides at .
