Allett Launches New Omnia Professional Battery-Powered Mower Range

Allett unveils its new Omnia professional pedestrian mower range at BTME 2026. Omnia marks a major step forward in battery-powered mowing and cultivation for stadiums and high-quality sports turf, says the company. The Omnia range has been developed from the ground up to meet the demands of modern professional grounds teams, combining class-leading battery capacity, direct-drive technology and a strong focus on operator ease of use with long-term serviceability. It is the result of over five years of focused development.

According to Allett, Omnia sets a new standard at the top end of its professional pedestrian range and represents a fundamental rethinking of how electric pedestrian mowers are engineered and maintained. Omnia has been developed under an “Operator First” design brief. Every major design decision has been driven by reducing physical effort, simplifying operation, improving reliability, and enabling grounds staff to achieve outstanding results more easily and consistently, particularly in demanding stadium environments.

Omnia is a new benchmark in battery performance. Central to the Omnia range is the Vanguard® Commercial Lithium-Ion Battery system, offering scalable capacity options up to 7.0 kWh on the larger models. This configuration delivers up to 20% more capacity than comparable professional pedestrian machines, enabling extended runtimes for multi-pitch and stadium operations. All batteries are supplied with a market-leading eight-year warranty, underlining Allett’s confidence in long-term durability.

Direct-drive architecture for efficiency and cut quality is employed and Omnia features a dual 1000 W rear roller drive system, using direct-drive motors to eliminate belts, chains and differentials, and to aid turning. A dedicated 2000W blade motor ensures consistent torque in dense grass conditions and when operating the wide choice of interchangeable cultivation heads which are available. The result, Allett says, is near-silent operation, improved energy efficiency and highly consistent cut quality across a wide range of conditions.

Designed for operators, ease of use has been a major focus of the Omnia design. Features include Smart Steering Assist: independently controllable dual rear-roller drive automatically reduces speed during turns, actively assisting steering for smoother, more controlled manoeuvring and reduced operator fatigue. The Nexus™ Hitch System eliminates the need to lift manually the range of interchangeable cutting and cultivation heads. Auto-ID technology automatically recognises which cutting or cultivation head has been attached, and adjusts settings accordingly. A 3.5-inch high-resolution colour display provides real-time information on travel speed, blade speed and clip rate, alongside maintenance prompts and on-screen diagnostics with QR-linked support.

From a service perspective, Omnia has been engineered to minimise workshop intervention. By removing differentials, oil baths and almost all belts and chains, Allett has significantly reduced routine maintenance requirements and simplified long-term ownership. In addition to precision mowing, Omnia has been designed as a true multi-task platform for cultivation. An ultra-slow 1 km/h crawl speed, heavier sorrel roller options and a wide range of interchangeable heads allow effective mowing, grooming, raking, verticutting, scarification and deep cultivation using the same drive unit.

Alongside Omnia, Allett will display the LEDMASTER UVC100 disease control system at BTME 2026. Both products are designed to support modern turf managers in delivering world-class playing surfaces. Featuring an Ultra Violet-C light bar, the LEDMASTER is a new turf management tool that integrates directly into routine mowing operations. The Allett Omnia range will be shown publicly for the first time at BTME 2026 in Harrogate on Stand 611, where visitors will be able to view the machines and discuss the design philosophy behind the new range. Further technical details and availability information will be released following the exhibition.

I’ve Been Gardening Since the 1970s — and I Don’t Recognise Modern Advice

I started gardening in the 1970s, when advice was simple, local, and often passed on by someone who had made the mistakes before you. You learned by watching plants fail, succeed, and surprise you. You learned by turning up...
