Description

Abutilon megapotamicum is a striking shrub with long, slender, trailing branches and delicate lantern-like flowers. Blooms are typically red with yellow tips, appearing summer through autumn. Dark green leaves provide a lush backdrop for flowers.


Growing Conditions

  • Position: Full sun to partial shade. Best flowering occurs in sunnier spots.
  • Soil: Fertile, well-draining soil. Slightly acidic to neutral preferred.
  • Hardiness: UK zones 8–9. Container growth recommended in colder areas.
  • Climate: Mild, sheltered sites; protect from strong winds.

Planting
