When should I plant eucomis bulbs?

Date:

Although eucomis can withstand temperatures down to -6C, I would not plant out until the Frosts have finished. This is usually the end of May. To give them a head start you could pot them up indoors about a month prior to this. Eucomis like a free draining soil so plant on a mixture of horticultural grit and compost.
