Leading Yorkshire nursery Johnsons of Whixley has reinforced its manpower with the addition of 3 new employees.
The new starters will occupy roles across the business as Johnsons continues its growth following a highly-successful last twelve months, throughout which the business enjoyed its best-ever monetary performance.
Johnsons of Whixley is among Europe’s leading suppliers to the business sector. It employs one hundred permanent workers, rising to a hundred and fifty seasonally.
The 3 new starters will strengthen the cash and carry, incoming merchandise and sales administration departments at Johnsons’ 200-acre premises within the heart of yorkshire.
With 10 years’ expertise within the horticultural trade, Alice Knowles joins the cash and carry department, where she’s going to handle client enquiries, give quotes and create sales.
Laura Holmes has been appointed to the role of sales administrator, having previously worked within the hr department at york council. Laura will place orders, complete and return orders and manage client calls.
Finally, Simon Harrison joins the Johnsons incoming merchandise team, where he will be accountable for checking incoming deliveries and organising client stock. Simon was once a cook for the NHS and arrives equipped with several transferable skills.
