Seed Prices

Mail order fruit and vegetable specialist D.T. Brown has announced that all seed prices have been frozen for 2018. The move is in response to rising inflation in food prices and possible economic insecurity in the year ahead.

Tim Jeffries, D.T. Brown general manager says “By freezing seed prices we hope to help gardeners on a fixed income plan their planting with confidence and allow them to continue growing the varieties they love.

“Although veg growers are usually a happy crew, high inflation and economic uncertainty are perhaps making us a little less positive but, by holding our seed prices, we’re hoping to lift gardeners’ spirits in a small way” he continued.

The 110 year old company has a tradition of offering gardeners great value and this year has also increased their range of 99p seed varieties to 41 and bolstered their overall range to 727, making it the widest range of vegetable seeds available on the market. All seed P&P charges have also been held at just 95p, which is well below the actual cost of shipping.

The new D. T. Brown Fruit & Vegetable Growers 2018 catalogue is out now and all seed orders come with free plant labels and a free trial packet of Beetroot Subeto F1. To request a copy write to D. T. Brown Seeds, Bury Road, Newmarket CB8 7PQ, telephone 0845 371 05 32, or go online
