New plant: Zantedeschia Eyeliner
Parents are ‘Red Sox’ and ‘Renoir’. Flowers are nearly black in the centre, changing to purple at the outer margins. The finishing touch that makes this flower a truly unique bloom is a very narrow yellow line right on the edge of the flower. This develops into a broader band of red as the flower ages. A fantastic patio plant, it should be grown in free-draining good quality compost, in a sunny, sheltered location. Not hardy, store in a completely dry and frost-free location over winter.
